Following the post position draw on Wednesday evening at the Madinat Jumeirah Resort, English oddsmaker William Hill has sent wide-drawn Linngari up to 16-1 from 12-1. The Kiwi hope, Seachange, was dropped from 40-1 to 20-1 following her favorable draw from stall four. You may recall that Seachange drew the widest post in her lone prep race in Dubai and many think it cost her a better placing; she finished sixth.
One interesting prop bet is being offered by the book shop: odds a new track record is set in this year's Dubai World Cup: 6/4. The old record for 2000 meters was set by Dubai Millennium at 1:59.50. Both Curlin and Jalil ran 2000 meters during the DIRC in 2:00.60 and 2:00.50 respectively.
